Research

Research Area: Finite Fields and Applications, Discrete Mathematics, Algebra and Number Theory

Research Interests: Finite Fields and Applications in Coding Theory, Communications, and Cryptography; Enumerative and Additive Combinatorics; Additive and Computational Number Theory; In particular,

·  Polynomials/functions over finite fields, for exmaple, irreducible polynomials, permutation polynomials, primitive polynomials, planar functions, Boolean functions, etc.

·  Sequences over finite fields, for example, LFSR and NLFSR sequences, de Bruijn sequences, stream ciphers, pseudoramdom generators, linear complexity, correlations, etc.

·  Applications of finite fields in Coding Theory, Combinatorics, and Cryptography; for example, linear and quantum codes, value sets and list decoding, nonlinearity of functions over finite fields, S-boxes, etc.
