The Parents of Coralie Weill
Pauline Weiller (1878-1951) and Lazare Weill (1880-1968)

The couple were married on April 14, 1909 when Alsace was still under German control. We have their act of marriage and also their marriage photo.

In contrast to French documents, documents from the German period were not signed. So the signature of Lazare Weill does not appear on either his marriage registration or the birth certificate of Caroline Weill. We do have the signature of Pauline Weiller on a 1915 post card that she sent to her brother David Weiller in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Here are some other photographs related to Pauline Weiller and Lazare Weill.

The Grandparents of Coralie Weill

Caroline Mandel (1838-1908) and Gottschau Weiller (1830-1905)

The couple were married on December 11, 1861. We have their act of marriage and also their signatures on the act.

We have also have a photograph of them with their children ca. 1883. Pauline Weiller is the girl on the far left.

Here are some other photographs related to Caroline Mandel and Gottschau Weiller .

Pauline (Babette) Mandel (1849-1933) and Nathan Weil (1843-1917)

The couple were married on June 21, 1872. We have their act of marriage and also their signatures on the act. The year 1872 was early on in the German annexation of Alsace, so, even though the act is in German, the bride and groom both signed. Compare with the above 1909 marriage act of Pauline Weiller and Lazare Weill.

We have also have a photograph of them on a 1915 postcard. Also in the photograph are Coralie Weill, Pauline Weiller and René Weill.
