About Us
The Carleton University Math Society is a student run organization dedicated to bringing together students and faculty from the School of Mathematics at Carleton. We provide social opportunities for students of all years to form new friendships, and we organize enrichment opportunities that encourage enthusiasm for mathematics. You can look forward to lots of great events, from bowling and dinner parties to colloquia and movie nights. We will also be bringing a group of students to the Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (CUMC).
The Mathsoc Room
Members are invited to stop by our Society room, located on the third floor of Herzberg (HP3410). Here you can relax on our (not quite as)NEW couch, play some card or board games (we have chess, go, cards...), eat lunch (feel free to use our microwave or fridge), and meet other math students. The MathSoc room is also a good place to study since it has a whiteboard, textbooks, school supplies, and upper-year students are often available for help with those tough assignments. Don't be shy - come on in!
