Preface

This book is an adaptation of the original text.1 With the exception of the last section in Chapter 1 which is new, most of the changes in this adapation are editorial aimed to improve exposition and accessibility for the web-based version.

It is hoped that adapting the text to bookdown makes it easy for customization.
