CHAPTERS FROM THE BOOK

The first part of this HTML page has links to the primary pages for the six main groups of people and a selection of family photographs. The primary pages lead in turn to images, documents and other material related to the group. Within each group the order of the people discussed follows, with a few exceptions, that of the book.

For each group visual access to photographs and documents is provided first of all by a link to a gallery which shows small versions of all items. Clicking on one of these small versions will lead to the larger version. The photographs can also be accessed directly from the directories for each group.
In certain cases, when a commentary is provided, there is also a direct link to the photograph or document.

Many of the photographs can not be precisely dated and approximate dates are indicated in the following manner: 1930[].

The second section has links to a series of letters from Nazi Germany, maps, historical information, reference material and family information from various sources.
