General Information

• Tentative lecture schedule (html file) as of August 2001 (before classes start).
  The actual material covered in each lecture is below.
• Textbook: ``Discrete Mathematics'' by Norman L. Biggs (Oxford Science Publications).
• Prerequisites: One of 69.218, 69.311, or 70.210.
• Classes begin: Monday, September 10, 2001.
  Classes end: Monday, December 3, 2001.
  Tutorials start: Monday, September 17, 2001.
  No lecture/tutorial: Monday October 8, 2001.
• Term mark: There will be three 50-minute tests in the tutorial hours on October 1, October 22 and November 19, 2001. You are expected to take all the tests. No make up, early, or delayed tests. Any missing test will be counted as zero. Only the best two tests (out of the three) tests will be consider for the term mark. Worth: 30% of the final mark.
  In addition to the tests, there will be two assignments. The tentative schedule of assignments is:

  Assignments are due at the beginning of the lecture, that is, on Wednesday October 10 and 31 at 5:30 pm. Assignments are not accepted after that time.

• Evaluation: Term mark is 50% (Tests 30%, Assignments 20%). The final examination is 50%.
• Withdrawal: The last day for withdrawal from the course is November 02, 2001.
• Students with Disabilities: Students with Disabilities who require academic accommodations please feel free to see me, and contact the Paul Menton Centre to complete the required forms.
• Some files may be in postcript format. If you don't have a software to view postscript files, you may download a ghostview software.
