General Information

• Tentative lecture schedule (html file) as of January 2012 (before classes start).
  The actual material covered in each lecture is below.
• Textbook: ``Discrete Mathematics'' by Norman L. Biggs (Oxford Science Publications, 2nd edition).
• Prerequisites: One of MATH2108, MATH3101 or MATH2100, or permission of school.
• Classes begin: Tuesday January 10, 2012.
  Classes end: Thursday April 5, 2012.
  Tutorials start: Tuesday January 17, 2012.
  
• Term mark: There will be two 60-minute tests in the tutorial classes of Tuesday February 14, 2012 and Tuesday March 20, 2012. You are expected to take the tests. No make up, early, or delayed test. A missing test will be counted as zero. Medical excuses, other than hospitalization, will not be considered. Worth: 20% of the final mark per test; total in midterm tests: 40%.
  

• Evaluation: Term mark is 40%. The final examination is 60%.
• Withdrawal: The last day for withdrawal from the course without academic penalties is the last day of classes.
• Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities requiring academic accommodations in this course must register with the Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities (PMC) for a formal evaluation of disability-related needs. Documented disabilities include but are not limited to mobility/physical impairments, specific Learning Disabilities (LD), psychiatric/psychological disabilities, sensory disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and chronic medical conditions. Registered PMC students are required to contact the PMC every term to have a Letter of Accommodation sent to the Instructor by their Coordinator. In addition, students are expected to confirm their need for accommodation with the Instructor no later than two weeks before the first assignment is due.
