General Information
- Tentative lecture schedule

The actual material covered in each lecture is below.
- Textbook:
``Discrete Mathematics'' by Norman L. Biggs (Oxford Science
Publications, 2nd edition).
- Prerequisites:
One of MATH2108, MATH3101, or MATA2100.
- Classes begin: Monday, January 5, 2004.
Classes end: Wednesday, March 31, 2004.
Tutorials start: Friday, January 16, 2004.
No lecture/tutorial: Monday February 16 - Friday February 20, 2004.
- Term mark:
There will be one 90-minute test in the lecture class of
March 3, 2004.
You are expected to take the test. No make up, early,
or delayed test. A missing test will be counted as zero.
Worth: 30% of the final mark.
In addition to the test, there will be tutorial work worth 10% of the final mark.
- Evaluation:
Term mark is 40% (Test 30%, Tutorials 10%). The final examination is 60%.
- Withdrawal:
The last day for withdrawal from the course without academic penalties is
March 12, 2004.
