General Information
- Tentative lecture schedule

The actual material covered in each lecture is below.
- Textbook:
``Discrete Mathematics'' by Norman L. Biggs (Oxford Science
Publications, 2nd edition).
- Prerequisites:
One of MATH2108, MATH3101, or MATH2100.
- Classes begin: Monday, September 12, 2005.
Classes end: Monday, December 5, 2005.
Tutorials start: Wednesday, September 21, 2005.
No lecture: Monday October 10, 2005.
- Term mark:
There will be three 50-minute tests in the tutorial class of
October 12, November 2 and November 23, 2005.
You are expected to take the tests. No make up, early,
or delayed test. A missing test will be counted as zero.
Worth: 45% of the final mark (15% each test).
Important: to pass the course you need at least 30%
in midterm tests (equivalent to 13.5% out of the 45% of the
total marks corresponding to midterm tests).
- Evaluation:
Term tests is 45%. The final examination is 55%.
- Withdrawal:
The last day for withdrawal from the course without academic penalties is
November 7, 2005.
