General Information

• Tentative lecture schedule (html file) as of August 2000 (before classes start).
  The actual material covered in each lecture is below.
• Textbook: ``Calculus'' by Angelo B. Mingarelli (Millennium Series in Calculus), along with a Solutions Manual. Note: a new edition has appeared this year.
• Prerequisites: Pre-University Calculus: An OAC in Calculus, or Carleton University 69.007*, or equivalent. Students who have not passed the prerequisite course may be automatically de-registered during the term.
• Classes begin: Thursday, September 7, 2000.
  Classes end: Monday, December 4, 2000.
  Tutorials start: Friday, September 15, 2000.
  No lecture/tutorial: October 6 and October 9, 2000.
• Term mark: There will be four 50-minute tests in the tutorial hours on September 29, October 20, November 3, November 17, 2000. You are expected to take all the tests. No make up, early, or delayed tests. Any missing test will be counted as zero. The average of best three tests out of four tests will be the term mark.
• Evaluation: Term mark is 40%. The final examination is 60%.
• Calculators: You may use a non-programmable calculator for the examinations and tests in this course: One of either Sharp EL-531 (usually available in the Bookstore) or Casio FX-991 or any other approved non-programmable calculator.
• Withdrawal: The last day for withdrawal from the course is November 03, 2000.
• Help Centre: The Help Centre in Herzberg Building Room 4385 will be opening on Monday, September 25. Hours for the centre: Monday to Thursday: 10 am to 4 pm, and evening hours to be announced.
• Students with Disabilities: Students with Disabilities who require academic accommodations please feel free to see me, and contact the Paul Menton Centre to complete the required forms.
