TEXTBOOK(S):
Calculus, by Angelo B. Mingarelli (The Millennium Series), along
with a Solutions Manual (bundled together). Available at the Bookstore
or at Haven Books on Sunnyside Avenue near the Campus. The current
Edition is dated August 26, 2002.
OR, if you really want to spend more you can buy,
Single
Variable Calculus Early Transcendentals, fiftth edition,
by James Stewart.

PREREQUISITES:
The prerequisites for this course are:
Ontario Grade 12 Mathematics: Advanced Functions and Introductory
Calculus; or an OAC in Calculus, or
MATH 0007 (formerly 69.007*), or equivalent.
WITHDRAWAL:
The last day for withdrawal from the course is November
07, 2005.
EVALUATION
Your grade will be calculated as:
Tests: 40%. Tutorial Work: 10%. The final examination is 50%.
If you do all the weekly quizzes, homework and tests, as well as the
sample tests and final exams on this website, you'll likely pass (maybe
even Ace it!).
TERM MARK:
There will be four 50-minute tests in the tutorial hours on September
29, October 20, November 3, November 17, 2005.
You are expected to take all the tests. No make up, early, or delayed
tests. Any missing test will be counted as zero.
It is your responsibility to pick up your tests in the following
tutorial hours. The average of best
three tests out of four tests will be counted as 40%.
SUPPLEMENTAL EXAMINATION
No Supplemental examinations
CALCULATORS
You may use a non-programmable calculator for the examinations
and tests in this course:
One of either Sharp EL-531 (usually available in the Bookstore)
or Casio FX-991 or any other approved non-programmable calculator.
The course instructor reserves the right to disallow any calculator.
Tutorial Work: There will be problem solving sessions during
the Tutorial Hour. At the end of the Tutorial Hour you will requested
to hand in your work in order to be evaluated.
Your Tutorial work during the term will be counted as 10%. Tutorials are on Thursdays from
6:30-7:30 p.m. You will be
taking your Tests during these hours and only during these hours.
All tutorials usually begin the second week of September (TBA) in
various locations depending on your section and the first letter of
your family name (surname, cognome(n)) or on the
information given to you at registration. Please consult your
Instructor otherwise.
Do I HAVE to go? YES! This is strongly recommended, esp. if
you want your 10%...
Where do I go? Normally your section is given to you at registration time. Otherwise, this depends on your section letter and/or on the first letter of your family name; see the next table for details about which room you'll go to.
