Research Area: Finite Fields and Applications, Discrete Mathematics, Algebra and Number Theory
Research Interests: The Theory of Finite
Fields and Applications in Coding Theory, Communications, and Cryptography; Enumerative and Additive Combinatorics; Additive and Computational Number Theory; Semigroups and Semigroup Algebras; Universal Algebra. In particular,
· Polynomials/functions over finite
fields, for exmaple, irreducible polynomials, permutation polynomials, planar functions, Boolean functions, etc.
· Sequences over finite fields, for
example, LFSR and NLFSR sequences, stream ciphers, pseudoramdom generators, linear complexity, correlations, etc.
· Applications of finite fields in Coding
Theory and Cryptography; for example, nonlinearity of functions over finite
fields, S-boxes, etc.
· Combinatorial designs, for example,
Latin squares, Costas arrays, Tuscan arrays, orthogonal arrays, etc.
· subset sum and multisubet sum problems
· arithmetic properties of group rings,
semigroup rings, and semigroups.
· special classes of semigroups and
algebras.
