Assignments are due at 6:10 PM, at the beginning of tutorial. If you give your assignment at the beginning of lecture (7:10 PM), the penalty is 10%. At the end of lecture, 9:00 PM, the penalty is 20%. After that moment, assignments are not accepted.
If you are unable to complete a homework due to MAJOR illness, talk with the professor BEFORE the due date. There is no excuse for not contacting him: you can email him or a friend can bring the news. Note that a flu (cold, etc) is NOT considered a MAJOR illness. That is, a cold 2 or 3 days before the deadline will NOT be considered a reason for an extension.
Extensions may be considered on an individual basis. You will not get an extension if you inform the professor after the due date. Late assignments must be handed in to the professor.
