Accommodation and Travel Information
Some hotels (reasonable rate; assistance to invited speakers available if requested)
On campus accommodation:
Each summer the university converts its residences into a big hotel of thousands of rooms.
Students and postdocs are encouraged to take this option of comfortable and affordable accommodations (Rates from $42.00/per night), and in particular check room types of traditional singles/doubles; please make your own booking, and do reimbursement later if you are offered support.
Some professors visiting Carleton sometimes
stay in its suites with better conditions.
Student and postdoc support: We have limited funding for graduate students and postdocs
to be used for lodging (and travel expenses for bus/train cost subject to availability).
If you wish to be considered for support, please email to Minyi Huang (mhuang (at) math (dot) carleton (dot) ca) with email subject line "SPA17 Funding".
We strongly encourage you to use on campus accommodation (for traditional singles/doubles), and in this case
our support will be enough to reimburse you for up to 3 nights if you are offered funding.
